Prince Soyebi Adedeji Solomon

He is blue-blooded, a prince of Ikereku family of Egba land in Abeokuta, Ogun State. In other words, he has an aristocratic lineage, yet an experienced election manager.


Prince Solomon Adedeji Soyebi is no stranger at all to elections and the electoral process, having started off as a Resident Electoral Commissioner in Abia State


An old boy of the famous Baptist Boys High School (BBHS), Abeokuta, Prince Soyebi, studied Chemistry at the University of Ibadan (UI). A respected Educationist, Prince Soyebi, has been instrumental to moulding and mentoring of lot of youths.


As a great team player with wide knowledge of electoral matters, he was appointed Acting Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following the expiration of the tenure of the then Chairman, Professor Maurice Maduakolam Iwu.


Before his appointment as Acting Chairman, he was the National Commissioner in charge of Electoral Operations.


Currently, the two-time National Commissioner is supervising the Information and Voter Education Committee (IVEC), ensuring that Nigerians get adequate Voter Education and electoral information.


Interestingly, when Prince Soyebi is not attending to electoral matters, he relaxes by watching football and playing lawn tennis. He is happily married and blessed with Children.
